About PFLAG Winston-Salem |
Who We Are
PFLAG Winston-Salem is an all-volunteer organization founded in 1988. We are one of more than 350 affiliates of PFLAG, a national non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., with more than 200,000 members and supporters.
PFLAG Winston-Salem is governed by a Board of Directors. Various committees and individual members carry out our mission and monitor and meet the ongoing needs of the Winston-Salem community.
In addition to our ongoing support meetings, we host social gatherings, sponsor parade floats, set up information booths at special events and sponsor and co-sponsor educational programs and workshops.
Our Mission
Our mission is to build on a foundation of loving families united with LGBTQ people and allies who support one another, and to educate ourselves and our communities to speak up as advocates until all hearts and minds respect, value and affirm LGBTQ people.
Our Vision
PFLAG envisions a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.
